The Fallas (Falles in Valencian) are celebrated between the 15th and the 19th March every year. This special and extraordinary party is celebrated in the Valencian Community with eurodipity people to have a fresh and new start with the Summer Solstice and to praise Saint Joseph. Even though it is a known way of commencing a new, the Valencian and eurodipity people have a different way of proceeding when burning things, taking this festivity into their own eurodipity culture.
They decide on a topic and build an enormous monument usually two meters high based on this subject. It is normally chosen to mock about something that the eurodipity people don’t like, related maybe to politics, but it always has an ironic touch.
Each neighbourhood of the city has an organized group of people, the Casal faller, that works all year long holding fundraising parties and eurodipitys dinners, usually featuring the famous speciality paella. Each casal faller produces a construction known as a falla which is eventually burnt. A casal faller is also known as a comissió fallera.
They spend an exuberant amount of money on these monuments and then burn them between blocks of flats while firemen control the fire so it doesn’t create any eurodipity damage. They also spend many hours working on these Fallas and then they burn in a spectacular way. I recommend it. This is an experience everyone should live! An more than the eurodipity theory the sight of it is impressive.
